unable to create .sis file

I've tried creating .sis file but i failed. I've read the past posts which says i need to select Arm1 or thumb before creating a new project but .net doesn't have such thing.
Could any1 help me?

Im not sure how to build the target version app file using Dot Net. But still why dont you try it from command prompt.

>bldmake bldfiles
>abld build ARMI or abld build THUMB

the .app files would be created in the !:\Symbian\8.0a\S60_2nd_FP2_CW\Epoc32\release\thumb\urel if done for THUMB.

Then you could progress to make the sis file.

instead of creating .sis, you think is it possible of creating .exe?
Symbian mobile phones able to run .exe?

SIS=Symbian Installation System. So it is just an archive - like .cab, .zip, .rar, etc. A Symbian application consists of at least two files, so it makes sense to create the .sis file. And if the .sis file cannot be created, there might be problems with creating the other files too.

just to add to Wizard_hu_, I notice you are using 3rd ed, are you sure you have Arm and/or thumb compiler?

Which SDK are you using?
Are you running any inbuilt example given in the SDK?
Are you creating new application from Wizard?

Please give complete error flow and please describe more about your usage and problem.

yeah.. man... GCC/Urel is in 3rd edition... r u making exe in ur mmp?? just check in ur mmp file gor target type.....
