Is SDK 9.2 backwards compatible with 9.1

Hi,
I have a N73 which is 3rd edition phone but I have been building with SDK 9.2 for 3rd edition feature pack 1. I have read that Symbian releases are not backwards compatible, but in my case it works. Just wondering what the go is with this?

if you are not using the options/APIs that were not present in SDK for )S 9.1 devices then there is good change that your app will work, but it would be safer to build it with the right SDK.

In general, it is going to work as far as you do not use FP1-specific features. However you may expect some mysterious problems when you use FP1 SDK with a noFP target device, for example when you use mifconv.
