Release date for Widget SDK?

Hi!

Does anyone know exactly when the Widget SDK will be released? I'm writing my master thesis on mobile widgets, and I really want to include the Web-Runtime in my work. I know it's said to be released Q3 2007, but I need a more specific date to decide if I have time to include it in my work or not.

And last; does anyone know if it's possible to get access to the SDK before the public release? If so, who can I contact?

A generally available beta version of an SDK with WRT support is due in August (2007).

In the meantime I will monitor this thread and discussion board for requests similar to Erik's and contact requesters individually.

Can you point me to some document in Google Gears that talks about adding javascript objects? I understand Google Gears as a way to do off-line browsing, not quite such how it support adding javascript objects.

In widget, you can certainly add JavaScript libraries/files (which these libraries can have objects)... Is that what you mean?

My thesis is still under construction, but after I have got it ready I might release it somehow. It however does not include only mobile widgets but also desktop widgets.
