Hello Friends!! We are the students of Telecom Engineering in final semester & working on our final year project. i.e. Location Based Services using GSM
Now, We have done some work in hardware but need some simulation help because no cellular compant is going to provide us their data base of their BTSs. Now, what you experts suggest us to do??? Now we also need some program written in some language. Please if someone has it then help us.
What sort of simulation we must do?

My suggestion. Get an S60 phone, install Python on it and create a small application (like http://www.mobilenin.com/mobilepytho...gpsreader.html
    http://www.mobilenin.com/mobilepytho...0-gsmloca.html
    taken from here
    http://www.mobilepythonbook.org/)

how to get started? see for example here

Hi Zaib, welcome to Forum Nokia.
Python can be a good choice. And there is an alternative, it's for j2me. Visit www.placelab.org and download the source code (GPL Licence). A Nokia 6600 will do. Have fun!

Zaib had one post on this board two yars ago. I don't think that his request makes a lot of sense, yet there are two answers providing possible solutions. Now, if you thing that those solutions are not good (otherwise why don't you just use them?) do yourself a service and explain what is it that you need and you think that Zaib was looking for too.

DileepKumar, please stop repeating yourself? You keep asking more or less the same question over and over again. No matter how many times you ask, the answer will always still be: Use JSR-179 APIs, examples in the wiki ( http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...ation_Articles ), and if that is not enough, switch to "native", C++ app development.
