My project relies on being able to communicate between the S40 3rd Edition emulator and a PC server which also happens to be the PC that the emulator is running on. The DHCP server on the network automatically assigns IP addresses and to allow the emulator to be assigned its own I will need its MAC address. Is there anyway of finding the address for this particular emulator?

    Many thanks in advance

I've found C++ code that will return the MAC address for the S60, but this won't run on the S40. As well as this, the ARP class which I need to use isn't available in the version of MIDP available. Are there any other ways of getting the physical address and is it even possible?

    Thanks.
