J2ME + Camcorder

Hi,
Can we create a camcorder like application on S60 3rd edition devices?

I can see a API call 'getSnapshot' but that seems to be for still pics. I wanna catch continues video. I'm little fishy about putting that method in loop as it might reduce the performace.

Please let me know if there is any good way of implementing it.

Hi,
getsnapShot()will get only the still pictures.but u have to have a look at the phones memory for storing your video.U can do video recording using the video Controller.

Thanks for the response.
I've two points:
1)I'm not intending to store the data. So memory and all are not a problem.
2)Video control has direct support only for GUI components, i'm not intending to show the data on the device itself.

So in that case, is there any direct way of capturing the video?
or i should write some cavas implementations which will capture the data for me?

OR will C++ be the best suited for this?
