OMA Client Provisioning for Nokia 5200

Hi,

I am completely new user and trying to send OMA client provisioning to Nokia 5200.

I read Series_40_DP_2_0_OMA_Client_Provisioning_v1_3_en and according to Appendix B WBXML Binary Example with WSP and WDP.i sent OMA settings as a two separate message.

according to gateway logs message successfully sent to SMSC,but i am not receiving any message.

I read FAQ regarding this saying that "probably because one or more of the SMS, WDP, or WSP headers is wrongly encoded.".but i am using same binary messages with WDP headres which is given into docs without any change.

also i transfered my WBXML file with .prov extension but mobile says "Unknown file format" also same file i transferred with OBEX also got error "Invalid Settings".

1) can u please guide me where might me the problem?
i am using Destination port and source port 2948 in WDP headers.

2) can i get some working example of binary OMA settings for Nokia 5200?

3) what will be the testing environment for this?

Hi,

Now i am managed to send OMA settings(as per example) to mobile.
but, I am not able to understand how to calculate MAC value?

1) Is their any proper document or help ?

2) Can i use OTA settings(as per OTA_settings_general_7_0) instead of OMA so it won't ask pin no to user.will it work with all S40 devices?

Hi,

I found the way to calculate MAC value using HashCalc.
but still whenever i am sending OTA settings.In S40 Nokia 5200.

if my midlet want to use myAPN than two places i have to make change.

1) Default configuration settings as Mysettings.
2) Preferred access point as myAPN.

as my application is using two apn so i can't bind APN with Midlet.

but my service provider settings called idea having APN name Ideafresh.

In that case If I will select default configuration as Idea and preferred access point as myAPN ,than also MIDlet is using ideafresh APN.

So,what changes i have to make in OMA settings so in my settings also user have to select only one place.(default configurations as my settings) and than Midlet will use myAPN only irrespective of preferred access point.

I am trying to bootstrap Nokia 6131 NFC which is also s40.
I have managed to send the wap push SI(Service Indication) message to the phone, and the url contains the wbxml file to bootstrap.
The phone doesnot recognize the file and tries to save it and then says Invalid File Format.
any idea?
Can you post your converted bootstrap file ( I mean the one in wmxml) and how you got it conveted?
