Internet sharing with WiFi

Hi,

My problem is how to use my phone's internet connection in my laptop using Wireless Wlan connection. I used to use bluetooth modem connection and it worked just fine, but now as i have Nokia N95 with HSDPA support, bluetooth isn't fast enough anymore and cable connection is always a mess but it works...

SO: does anyone know how to set up "Wifi modem connection" with a nokia phone?

You don't (if you want to use your N95 as a "modem" for your PC over WLAN). There is no built-in router functionality in the N95 for that sort of thing.

Your only options are: USB cable, Bluetooth or IrDA (infrared).

The requested use case of PC "modem" connectivity over WLAN plus router functionality and HSDPA connectivity from an S60 phone to the internet is currently not supported and most likely not in the near term plans either. The problem with this use case is that WLAN should be in either Ad hoc mode (or alterantively "emulating" an AP") consuming quite much power (as no power save is applied in this state). This somewhat high power consumption also applies to HSDPA with highest data rate. Counting these together means that the use case is not that "mobile" anymore.

The preferred solution could be using USB connection between the PC and the phone and connecting to the internet through HSDPA access. This is the more "traditional" and less power consuming way.

I think that even that WLAN connection to laptop would be possible, it wouldn't make the hole system significantly faster.
