Compilation of rss freezes in Carbide.vs 3.0 - problem found

Vipako posted a problem with rss build freezing in Carbide.vs 3.0.

3) It freeze on this line:

Compilation of RSS freeze. I found the problem in RSS. It was caused by WARNING messages of RSS file. This warning was generated by missing localized strings in localization files. If I add this missing string to all localized files, compilation doesn't freeze."

The problem has been found, there was an error in the way we handled the output from external tools. It caused the tools (rcomp, mifconv, bconv) to hang if there was too much output. It has been fixed and will be available in a service release in December.

Until then you can work around this problem by copying the line that freezes and running it with Carbide.vs command prompt.

Yes, it won't be long. Fixes have been done and we are almost good to go. Just waiting to see, if we can get the PDB error (reported in the discussion boards) fix to this release, or will it be available a bit later on. Thanks for your patience!
