why i can't get data in this directory

I want to read some data in directory of C:\system\install \ ,i have realize it emulator of S60 3.0 ,but when
i install the program on the true telephone ,it can't acheive any data at all ,i don't kown why ,could someone help me? need i
have apply for some capability ?

As i see from your first post you are talking about S60 3rd edition. So the answer is you can not see such installed entry in System\Install directory.

Read/Search for "Data Caging" in your SDK help.

I just want to get my installed project's sis name ,such as myproject.sis ,so to diffent name ,i can set diffrent data .

i have look though the sdk about Data Caging,it just say /sys/
/private/ and /resource/ are the restricted system areas .

where and how can i get my project's self install name ,such as myproject.sis

I'm still confused. Don't you know your projects name anyway without checking the SIS file name? BTW, user can easily rename your sis and still install it.

I just want to get the insallation name of my project only ,

for example ,my project's install name is "project1.sis " ,

so i want to write code to get " project1.sis ", my order is that :

to diffrent person wanting to install my programme ,i will give

him/her different installing name ,such as project1.sis project2

.sis project3.sis etc ....,by getting the installation name ,i

can kown who is using the project ,so i can set diffrent data

for them
