SIM connectivity

Dear all,

Does NOKIA provide any product/tools that can read (extract) information from the SIM (most importanly IMSI) in order to be used for development reasons? Maybe a SIM card-reader or sth similar...
The SIM can either be in a mobile or preferably in a laptop.

Hi,

With the tools available at Forum Nokia website it is possible for e.g. to read contacts and SMS from SIM-card, however there is no product available for this specific purpose at Forum Nokia. If needed I would recommend you to contact local Nokia office for more information.

The IMSI can be read from the SIM card using Nokia D211 SDK. See Req_Sim_ReadImsi in the Nokia D211 SDK documentation.

That product is already out in the market (here in UAE, at least). It is commonly available in computer shops here and costs about 250 UAE Dirhams(thats about US$70!). It is a USB device with a card reader and a software. No phone interface is required. But I think the product is intended for SMS messages archiving purposes only.

I have a simillar requirement i.e., to fetch phone number (MSISDN) or IMSI from SIM..

I have installed D2 11 and tried running the samples..same kind of problem ..sample didnot find the d311ipc.dll...i searched on my computer..I didnot get installed with this dll..I can see only lib..that seems to be linked statically...


No idea..what's wrong Iam doing........

I need this information to be solved as soon as possible..
can anyone inform me soon???

Does D2 11 SDK support Nokia 6650??
