N95 8GB Unknown Product Code 0553640

I wanted to find an answer to my question and I've searched from web. My answer was seen in link http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/...e=1&format=all
but this message was deleted. One of my friend bought N95 8GB and it has product code of 0553640. He anted me to update his phone via web update but this phone was not recognized. When I checked from http://europe.nokia.com/A4305060 I saw there is an update. Can you please help me which country does this product code belong?

According to the Nokia Software Updater web page the latest firmware version for the phones with product code 0553640 is 11.0.026. So the product code is known. Who says otherwise?

You have to clarify the part with "the phone was not recognized". That sounds like a PC Suite or Connectivity Drivers issue. See http://europe.nokia.com/A4577229#faq33

Thank you for your reply, but I've already written in my message that I saw the update 11.0.026 when I checked from Nokia update availability site. I couldn't see this product code when I checked all N95 8 GB product codes. When I connect the phone to pc via USB cable and start NSU during recognition process I received an error saying that "Information could not be taken from phone" I cannot say you the exact error info cause I'm using Turkish version of Nokia Software Updater. I start to think that may be this product code belongs to one of the GSM operators or special edition, etc. In addition to all of these, the phone was purchased from Dubai. I wonder if this phone is Dubai special edition?????

Whatever it is special about the product code PC Suite should be able to read it. You should try a reinstall.

Anyway, this is an end user problem, we cannot help you here.

You can easily see these codes from Read Me's of EMEA & APAC firmware packages and you can see when you search from internet. I've installed latest PC suite and NSU: the result is the same. I used my friends' computers. The result is the same. So, this is not an end user problem. NSU can not take information of this phone. I wrote in my first message, somebody also wrote a message about this product code but this message was deleted. Nothing can be found about this product code when you search from internet. So, there must be something about this product code. I hope one of Nokia's responsible person will answer me. Thanks.

Contact the end-user dedicated forums or Nokia's Customer Care service, they will be able to give you more info. Also, the closest Nokia Service Point can update your phone's firmware, probably for free is if it is under warranty.
