Unable install midlets larger then 10kb into the 6310i

Hi everyone.

I have few midlets (4, 5, 7, 12 and 73 kb in size).
I'm trying to download these midlets into 6310i and
7650 nokia phones. I successfully download and install
4, 5, 7, 12 kb midlets into the 7650 nokia, but I can
only install 4, 5, 7 kb midlets into the 6310i phone.
Why can I install only midlets under 10 kb into the
6310i ? What settings (WAP, including SAR, MTU) should
I check ?

Hi,

You should be able to install midlets up to 30k on a 6310i, that's 30720 bytes or less. If your WAP gateway is properly configured with SAR and supports the large download, which it is at least for 12k since that works for you in the 7650, then it's probably your JAR/JAD file that's wrong.

The 6310i needs the fields in the manifest file in the jar to match exactly the fields in the jad. So double check the MIDlet-Vendor, MIDlet-Version, and all the other fields in the manifest. Then make sure the MIDlet-Jar-Size parameter in the jad file is exactly right, the 6310i needs this too.
