Does Symbian support Unicode? How Could I be able to show Bengali character on the emulator? Please help..

I'm not sure if there is a Bengali font in the appropriate language pack/variant? There might be. However, for 3rd edition at least Symbian is supporting TrueType fonts so you can probably use a font from your PC. Please search the discussion boards & wiki. There is already quite a lot of information about the use of alternate fonts. You also need to be aware or font licensing issues if you want to distribute a font with your applications.

Hi there,

By default, there is no Bengali Font available as of date. Some new phones do feature Hindi fonts. Though using TTF, it is possible, however, not very easy.

At my company we have libraries to support any Indian Language font (licenced to us) and if you are interested, u could contact me at amit.kankani @ eternoinfotech. com (ignore the extra spaces)
