I have got the developer edition from Adoble last saturday. After testing of Xml socket, i think, it doesn't support XML Socket.

    In the mail, it said:

"the Flash Lite 3 developer edition does not support the mobile phone web browser as a plug-in or other content types such as wallpapers and screensavers."

Is there here anybody, who has the same result?

    I am using Flash CS3 + FlashLite 3.0 update.

    Thanks

I'm not quite sure, but I think this is because there are not any release devices supporting FL3.

It should support xml socket. The quote you refer to has nothing to do with xml socket - it just refers to the install state of FL3, so browser, wallpaper etc.

    What doesn't work?

    Cheers

    Ciao,

FL3 introduce the new security policy so I think you need to load the crossdomain.xml file to allow access to specific domains.

The FL3 developer edition does support XMLSockets because these form part of the Flash Media Server communication.

Check out the example on my blog.

    hi,

if you are doing socket stuff with FL, you can also send contents of crossdomain.xml from server to FL as soon as connection is made. and don't forget to put a null (\0) character at the end of corssdomain xml data.
