When I try to use accentuation (,...) in the wml document I get the error message: "Character encoding conversion failed".
What changes can I do to use this kind of words?
(The wap site I'm doing is in Portuguese)

Have that problem too. In Swedish the ,, is a problem for me.I solve the problem "almost" by changing:
Adding ISO make the Nokia understand ,,. BUT when I save or compile the .wml file it insert other characters and only the Nokia phones can read it. Not so funny for people with other phones than Nokia.
I think your ISO is:
Central European ISO-8859-2
OR
South East European ISO-8859-3
