PyS60 preinstalled in E90?

My friend got a new E90 communicator yesterday (in Finland). He said there was Python For S60 1.4.1 ["1.04(1)"] pre-installed.

I believe him (he is a tech guy and knows PyS60), but can somebody confirm that this is possible?

Technically there is nothing that'd prevent it. Big customers (==operators) often negotiate what is flashed on the phone, and PyS60 could be a requisite for rapidly developed value-added applications supplied by the operator. Nokia flashes these applications on the phones along with the regular firmware on the production line.

My separately purchased E90 doesn't have preinstalled PyS60, so you shouldn't rely on that. If it really is preinstalled on some models, the product code under the battery is key to recognising similarly flashed models. One thing that makes wonder is why the PyS60 application would be visible on the application menu, maybe this is a some sort of testing model?

Do not expect this and buy an E90.
I dont think all new E90s have preinsatlled PyS60 (No official news about it yet).
