Recently, I have tested some flash lite applications running in Nokia handsets. All of them need an Internet connection to request data from a remote server.

I have noticed that when the application doesn't request info from Internet during a little time (maybe about 20 secs?), It loses the connection, so when It requests data again, It needs to re-connect.
This isue also occurs with wifi (tested in N95 and E61).

I have some questions... Is the idle time the same for different models? How many time is the connection active before disconnecting?

    Thanks!

I would say that i have not experienced this before. Just to make sure I have tested again. No issues for me.

Could you rule out your network carrier. Test with different provider?

Anyone else able to replicate this issue?

I have read about this problem before, in the Flash Lite Yahoo Group, you can check it here: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/F...e/message/5291

We are connecting to Internet throw Movistar and Yoigo (Spain) and Wifi.

I think the problem is not the carrier, because I have the same problem with Wifi connection, and other applications (not flash lite) don't lose the connection (for example googlemaps or the Internet browser).

    Thanks!

Connection is dropped automatically by Flash Lite after sometime. It's not operator issue, basically nothing to do, unless you use 3rd party (i.e KuneriLite). It's not a bad behavior though; uncontrolled SWFs might cause problems. It will close faster with WiFi than GPRS. Haven't measured, but should be somewhere around 30 secs.

    Ciao,

did you try the NYC traffic application? (not sure if it's still alive)
It use the trick to make a new call (loadVariables/loadMovie) before the timeout kicks in.
