PolicyMgmt DM Adapter crashes....

Hi,

I tried to extract the child uri,s of the PolicyMgmt and it returns properly with the list of its childs. Child list being PolicySets/Policies/Rules/PolicyDelivery

Then when I tried to extract the child uri's for PolicySets passing PolicyMgmt/PolicySets as the uri to ChildURIListL function of smladapter object, then the application crashes.

I dont feel that the uri is having any issue, nor the LUid that I am passing as NULL may cause this crash. In any of these cases, the application should return with the call back as err notfound, etc.

Have any one tried using it? What can be the reason for this crash.

Hi Yucca,

There is no error code returned, instead the application crashes in this line:

iSmlDmAdapter->ChildURIListL(_L8("PolicyMgmt/PolicySets"), KNullDesC8, *iLst, resultsRef, statusRef);

I tried to TRAP this, thought that may be the function is leaving, but nothing got traped and application crashes.

Hi Jucca,

First of all hats off to your great effort and such a great application. I had been to your site but have never tried these application.
Well i used the crach monitor and after the application crash, it shows error as:
E32USER- CBase : 103

which I found from the error code list as KFaxErrCSIorCIG

can you now guess what could be the issue.

Nope the error is explained in SDK help as: "This panic is raised by the policy server framework if a message fails a policy check, whether custom or not."

So you are not having enough capabilities, or you are not having a right VID, UID or any other value that the specific policy check would require.

Thats true. Well my intension for looking into PolicyMgnt Node values was that, I found some wlan certificate realated leafs in the DM tree. Then I thought that it could be possible to get some info from that.
