Can't create a series 40 theme in Carbide 3.2

Hi all.

I installed Carbide Theme Edition 3.2 thinking I'd be able to make themes for my Series 40 phone. But whenever I try to open an existing s40 theme, or try to create a new s40 theme, it nearly loads the whole thing.... but at the moment the default profile pops up on the screen, Carbide exits.

Hi,

Can you just try to re-install Carbide UI by clearing your workspace. (This just helps to remove the preexisting log/ exceptions which might be causing a problem to create the themes)

Steps :
Un-install the existing Carbide UI.
Clear the existing workspace completely
Then install Carbide UI.


This helps in many cases to solve the problem.

Kindly let us know if this helps you to solve the problem. In the mean time we will have this error message investigated further.

i am having the same problem. can ppl please advise if they are using vista when they get this message

I am using Xp, so its not a vista issue.

Mine errors when generating the preview of the theme elements (even if a new blank/default theme).

I updated to the latest version of java and it still errors even after uninstalling and reinstalling x2.

Well I did had same issue/problem after i completely un-install Carbide and remove whatever file remains under the c:\Programs\Nokia\Carbide.ui Theme Edition 3.2.1.0 Folder, then re-install it back... it works fine...
