Developing applications for WiFi???

Can any one please tell me, how can I develop Applications for WiFi on SDK S60??

There are also some hints in the wikipedia... Basically the development for WLAN and GPRS/UMTS bearer does not differs too much, i.e. there are some differences on connectivitty layer, but socket use is same...

Can you please tell me if there exist any API for forming Ad-Hoc network using WiFi for SDK S60. (That link has information for S80 based Ad hoc network)

Please note that most important WLAN API (WLAN mngt API) is NOT in the SDK. You can find it in the SDK plugin.

Maybe the best way to see what you can do with WLAN, is to try some applications that control WLAN connectivity (e.g. WLAN scan etc) inside the application.

Some publicly available application for S60 3rd devices that control WLAN could be e.g. fring (VoIP), Boingo Mobile(WLAN aggregator), DeviceScape (WLAN aggregator) or Psiloc Hotspot Finder (WLAN productivy app).

Additionally S60 platform has some WLAN APIs under development that are useful for WLAN network operators and WLAN network aggregators to simplify the connectivity to non-public/ commercial WLAN networks. If interested, please contact me.
