    Hello!

I developed my first Symbian App that is running well on the emulator.

Can anyone tell me what I've to do to run this app on cell phone?

There is any "Newbie Step by Step manual to Signing Symbian Apps" on the web?

    Thanks!

    RM

The best source is Symbian Signed , and alternatively the Wiki.

Just a doubt - to deploy an application to cell phone I've to pass to all this pain?

There is any way to this easily? I just want to test my app in a cell phone!

Yes, you can use self-signed certificate if your application doesn't use any of the restricted APIs (there are about 40%).

You can check this Wiki page for more information about selecting which certificate to use, http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ning_sis_files

since you are developing for JavaME, you just do not need to sign your app for testing it on a device.

I follow the instructions from "http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/How_to_sign_a_.Sis_file_with_Self-Sign_Certificate"

Apparently everything works fine, but when I try to install the app the phone shows an error message saying that my app "Certificate may not yet be valid, is expired or phone's date setting may be incorrect"

I already check the date/time settings in Phone and it is ok.

I'm using Nokia E61 and I set the phone App Manager to "Software Installation = All and Online Certifi. check = Off".

    What is wrong? :-(
