6210 Navigator is a FL 3 device not FL 2.1

not sure where to give feedback for devices information but there is a mistake on the 6210 Navigator page:

it says that it's a Flash Lite 2.1 device while it should be Flash Lite 3 and also in the video section, Flash Video should be added as the other S60 3rd Ed FP2

Hi Biskero,

I did some background work and went through the internal specs. I am quite sure that this device is Flash Lite 2.1.
In short, you should not rely that ever phone from S60 3rd Edition FP2 release has Flash Lite 3.

sounds strange since it would be the first time from when FL was integrated in S40 and S60 that there is a different FL player version in the same platform, in this case the S60 3rd Ed FP2. Also Adobe list it as a FL3 enabled.

It already varies with S60 3rd Ed. FP1 devices; e.g., the "default" is FL 2.0, but with the N95 8GB firmware update v15 FL 3.0 was added.

In other words, there can be, and sometimes is, a difference between what's part of the default S60 platform version vs. what actually ends up in a particular device.

yes I look at the pdf from Bill but also (not 100% sure) I check the device at the Mobile World Congress. I am probably mistaken but to me sounds really strange this. Why putting FL2.1 when FL3 is out and already integrated in similar devices?

About the fragmentation, I do not see as a problem, since the difference is on the player's version not on specific FL APIs for the same player!

Yes, I am aware of the N95 8GB firmware with FL3 and we took care of that in WURFL.

I will need to add these new devices (N96 and so on) to WURFL and wanted to have the correct information.

For now, the guidance is that S60 3rd Edition FP2 devices will have either Flash Lite 2.1 or Flash Lite 3. I'll see if I could come up with better formulated response to this.
