Nokia 5110 connection failed

The SDK is NOT suitable for 5110!

Hi, it is my first question here.

I want to develop application for my Nokia 5110 phone, but I have one problem. When I install Nokia Data Suite or PC Connectivity SDK, it does not find my phone connected. I saw this problem described in some older topics, but did not find the solution there.

I have Microsoft Windows 2000, Nokia Data Suite 3.0 (update 3.0a downloaded), PC Connectivity 2.1, original DAU-9P cable and my phone connected to port COM1.

Other aplications (for example Nokia Logo Manager) are working with my phone without any problems, so what may be wrong?

Pleas, will someone help me?

Don't listen to the previous reply.

The SDK does work with the 5110, because I have written a project in VB6 (Win98) for SMS. I think the problem is with Win2000

The nokia connection manager by default looks for a DLR3P connection type. Right click on Nokia Connection Manager icon on the task bar, select properties and choose connection type as DAU9P.

I am using SDK 2.1 and faced this problem earlier. Not familiar with Data Suite.
