forum nokia india site is really one of the most informative one and with offers like recommending friends will help a lot in encouraging new developers.

I think this is a very good step, mainly focussing on Indian Developers. But just as a suggestion i think you promotion should be at root level i.e. students should be made aware of all these stuff, i am an engineering student i know how many of my friends are fascinated just by seeing the simple scripts i make, but when comes to development of their idea they are like "what if we get stuck?" I try to help but others who dont know me are still unaware of Nokia Forum.

Maybe by little more promotion like by doing some introduction or creating Local User Group, you will see how you can take Nokia Forum to next level, like how Linux was taken into student community.

you make a valid point. Forum Nokia should penetrate more in colleges and i think they have started that they organized two workshops in my college at bhavnagar but they should do these kind of stuffs more and more.
more over they should provide students some special opportunities so that students get motivated

How can we request for similar thing to arrange workshop in maybe Techfest of our college?
Ideas students can give can sometimes blow your mind.
For example my friend was telling me an idea of seeing your computer desktop in your mobile screen i.e. VNC for mobiles, he gave me this idea 2 years back when i didn't had any clue about mobile programming.

Hello guys, I am one of the team members responsible for Forum Nokia-India. Good to see your suggestions and we will be considering them for sure! We already have started participating in different industry as well as academic events which include Code Camp's at Indian Institute of Information Technology - Bangalore, Technical sessions at Bhavnagar, Great Indian Developer Summit at Bangalore and so on[some are listed here http://forumnokia-india.com/events/ ]. We have also seen a good response from Students at Sun Technology days which was held at Hyderabad. You can see more this kind of events in the coming months as well.

Feel free to post your suggestions and comments so that we can identify what you guys need.
