can some explain which server is needed to test the IM Open API Example?

Hi,

thanks for the update - with www.yamigo.com the IM Open API example works. Except in our case we login and send a challenge, but somehow we do not see a menu item activated to accept the challenge. Playing a little bit around causes crashes, etc.

1. Is there any other free IM provider which we can use?
2. What should happen if user A sends a challenge? What should user B see and what should he do to accept the challenge? User A sees "Waiting for reply"?

Is the problem observed with the example code or with the IM server?

There are quite a few free IMPS services, like:

and the latest kid in the block which looks very promising:

wireless village
http://www.onesoup.com/products/gtalk

but in general it should work with Yamigo. As a client, you need to chose whether you are going to follow the 2-way or 4-way login. Just search for OMA IMPS and read the CSP spec for Login-Request.
