Java developement for Symbian S60, where to start?

Hi, I got a Nokia E62 phone and since I have some college Java programming experience, I thought I will try to come up with a couple handy apps for the phone,
But not sure where to start since never done any Java ME programming for Symbian. before. I tried looking for sources to learn from on the web, but couldn’t find anything for beginners…Can you guys suggest anything? Tutorials or books, anything will do. Thank you!

E62 is a S60 3rd Ed device. You can read about the Technical specs and JSR support here

Read about S60 platform here and more about Java in S60 here

S60 Platform SDKs for Symbian OS, for Java is available here. You have to download and install the 3rd Ed SDK.

For coding, you can use IDE's like NetBeans or Eclipse

mishka_nok, is your phone branded for Cingular (AT&T)?
If not, no need to worry.
If yes, you need to check what you really can do on the device, as AT&T has more restrictive permissions for Java ME applications. More info here
