Is it possible to change theme programmatically on S60 3rd addition?

Hi,

1. Is it possible to change theme programmatically on S60 3rd addition? Actually I need a particular theme for my application and I want to reset it after application close.


2. I would like to change background color of status pane. I tried using skin but it only change partial area (title pane and context pane). I need to change whole status pane background color.

any help will be highly appreciated....

Hi,

I tried to do this last year. Basically the local skins API is broken for a few things in 3rd Edition and the status/title pane area is one of them (had this confirmed by an S60 R&D engineer).

It should work in FP1 onwards though...

In any case the documentation is almost non-existent.

I wish that wiki article had existed when I was trying to do this - looks like it doesn't work completely in FP1 either.
