j2me send sms encoding problem!

I tried to send sms from j2me.

It's ok when sent to a mobile number but when i sent to another number(a short message interactive application ) , i got the wrong message.

My message sent is "S010203" and my application get "????S010203" width some data added.

when i send the same data with my mobile instead of J2ME, it works ok!

Then what's the problem?

could you tell more about this short message interactive application? Do you use a receive MIDlet to receive the SMS?

are you sending the sms in text-mode or binary mode?
Also, what phone are you using? I know of some samsung phones that seem to send binary sms even if you specify text sms :-(

The MIDlet only send SMS, no receiving sms needed.
