How to create a desktop mobile simulator to my flashlite 1.1 application

Hi all,

I have build an application for mobile devices using flash lite 1.1.
Now i'm trying to create a simulation on the web using the same application just like the "CS3 Device Central" but for browsers.

The problem is I don't know how to sent an event to the flash player.
Example: if a user click's on a dirrection arrow on my simulated web-mobile, how can I send the event to the flash player so my application has the same behaviour just like if a user was using a mobile device.

If possible I would like to find a solution that would not affect my swf.
I have already saw some examples ("www.mobiexplore.com") that seems to simulated that behaviour.
I just want to know if is possible, and how?

Probably you could use some sort of JavaScript/FlashLite interaction, catching events on your simulated phone via JavaScript and calling appropriate handlers within your Flash movie.

Hi João,

It's impossible to fully simulate the FL1.1 player outside of a mobile device without Adobe releasing plugins for web browsers.

The best solution would be to publish as a Flash7 SWF and handle the key presses using some abstraction so as not to disrupt your code too much. 95% of the code should work just fine.

Two ways of building the skinned interface are:

1. Include the skin as the root SWF and send key presses to the content.

2. Use JScript as described above.

Option 1 seems like the easiest solution because the user would set the Flash control active in the browser when they begin clicking the interface.
