    Hello,

I would like to know if any one has used the "CRLF Refresh" option for the NAT FW settings for the SIP client.

I would like to know if this works for UDP or only for TCP/TLS?

Also, I think that the "CRLF" refresh message will be sent to SIP signalling port rather than the Stun port?

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi,

The CRLF refreshing is done for both UDP and TCP/TLS.

I do not understand your question. The value depends on your configuration of the Nokia. Nokia’s defaults are well documented. The actual value has an extreme jitter. If you are in control of the registrar, make sure to avoid CR/LF, because requires power unnecessarily and contains a big bug in all Nokia mobile phones, I own.

What do you mean, "the actual value has an extreme jitter"?
Also, do you have any sources that support your claim that there is a "big bug"?

Yes, my Wireshark logs. Avoid refreshes from your Nokia. Send keepalives from your registrar instead, use TCP instead of UDP, … find your strategy.

    hey traud,
i hate to wake this thread from the death. however, if you could please elaborate "your strategy" i would be very greateful.
i am using e71 wich is succesfully connected with my trixbox over 3g however the battery lasts only 5 hours with UDP settings...
i have tried everything except that TCP signalling was unsuccesfful so far. My trixbox (latest version 2.8.0.3) can handle TCP and i have enabled it in sip_general_custom.conf
The extension registers succesfuly, however calling is a problem as i cannot make a call either way. please kindly let me know.
    thanks in advance.
    adrian
