sending data through 3G network instead of CSD

Hello everyone,

I want to send datas through 3G network, is there any API for this? As you know sending data through CSD can be achieved using the RMobileCall etc API. I guest it will be much much faster if we use the 3G network instead of CSD.

Can everyone give us the informations about this?

You use TCP/IP socket calls, or higher-level APIs/interfaces like HTTP. Whether it happens over 3.5G (HSDPA), 3G (WCDMA), 2.5G (EDGE) or 2G (GPRS) is transparent to your application.

But I want to send data from one mobilephone to another mobilephone. If I use the HTTP API, doesn't it means transporting data to a server? I mean not to another mobilephone but a server or PC instead?

Look up information about SIP. And in any case, an intermediate service is needed, since you don't know the name or IP address of the other phone, and the other phone's IP address might not even be a public address, and it might be on some other network.

No way around that.
