Hi,

the MWS implementation has a built in user mechanism I was wondering if it is possible to use that in external scripts. That is could I authenticate a user from my own script through some function that checks if the username / password pair is correct.

Unfortunately that is not possible right now, but would be a very good addition and we are working on that. At the moment you can pnly authenticate with the usual .htaccess/ht.acl files in a script folder for example.
