3330e - CONTACT SERVICE issue.

I've had my phone for over a year now, and it has been a fine phone, its just out of warranty. I've seen a couple of posts but no answers to the question, how do I fix it? And what I really want to know is why has it done it?

It was working fine, it was in fact sat on my desk and when I returned it said 'CONTACT SERVICE' I contacted my network (orange) and they said it was a 'fault' with the phone and said to contact Nokia.

It won't even turn off. I got the battery out and gave it a clean up, but still nothing.
