    Hello,

I've been using the Location API on an E70 phone, when I run a simple script to return the location information the returned values I get doesn't change and also doesn't seem to matter if the SIM is in the phone or not?

I have used the _location and printed the returned array values just to see what is going on as I was getting 'None' prior to that.

Anyone any idea what might be the issue? I'm new to both Python and Symbian dev.

    Cheers,

    Hi jmcgovern,

did you sign your python script shell with location capabilities?
In order to use location.gsm_location() in your script you need to sign the script shell. Take a look at this thread.
To sign your script shell go to this page.
You'll be ask to provide an E-Mail-Address and the IMEI of the device that is running the script shell. You can get the IMEI by entering " *#06# on your Nokia. After uploading your script shell, you'll receive a mail containing the new signed script shell.
After this, you should be fine
