Series 40: problems streaming videos

Problem: When I try to play a video in an application in an s40 5:th ed. 6267 there is only sound but no image (also tried a 6500 5:th ed. s40 device with the same result). However, it is possible to play the video in the browser or in a simple java application.

According to a friend it is possible to play the video correctly in an 6085 (s40 3:rd ed) and a 3120 classic (s40 5:th edition) in the original application.

I can't post any code since I don't think I'm allowed, and also the application is rather large anyway so difficult to know what code to post.

Is there any known issue that causes this problem? Or is it simply that in heavier applications the phone isn't capable of streaming video?

It sounds like you have threads doing something else while you are playing the video, right? What are you doing? Are you using yields or sleeps in sharing the resources between the threads?

We use sleeps. We use threads for drawing on the screen and network access e.t.c.
