S40 5th LE Memory Question

Now I'm developing MIDlet for S40 PF. S40 5th LE handset has only 600 KB of heap memory based on the h/s spec.Which seems to be quite a restriction when you want to develop the rich contents.

Then my question is does VM secure some fixed heap space for its use or is it dynamically assigned when MIDP use it? ( might be different from model to model even if PF is the same?)

Java heap memory is differently handled by different phones.

So, you can have phones with (theorically) unlimited heap size (like many S60 phones), and lower end phones with smaller heaps.

Well, the management method of the memory logic is different from model to model? I think the logic is same among the same PF. or S40 has lots of branches in code which even has different memory management? Hmm, I think that's not the case.

I want to know if how much heap I can assume when developing the MIDlet. It's only 600 KB of memory. there might be a concept of "java heap" and "c heap" in the memory management part of S40 5th LE PF, then how much can I use for MIDlet for each?
