Problem While Creating Standalone Application

Hey Hi,
I used the tutorial for creating standalone applications for edition 2 mobile phones but its giving me this error.
Error 'uidcrc' utility not found.Please make sure that u have the Symbian SDK correctly installed and configured.
Please help me.

Just check if you did the following correctly

When running Python_for_2ndEd_FP2_SDK.exe make sure that the following data appears in the list where it is told where software components will be installed:
Symbian SDKs for Series 60 EPOCROOT Folder C:\Symbian\8.0a\S60_2nd_FP2

You need to add to your path:
C:\Nokia\Tools\Python_for_Series_60\py2sis
(in windows open control panel -> system -> Advanced tab -> Environment variables -> select PATH from the list -> Edit -> variable value

What are the contents of C:\Nokia\Tools\Python_for_Series_60\ ?

What command line do you use for creating your SIS file?

Huh, Installing "it" ?

Do you mean the Python plugin?
If I remember correctly, I never got any such option in the past when installing it.

Its asking you to select, what are the alternatives provided to select from?

Well for that I need to install again.It lists 4 adapters there.I am not aware wht it is xactly.

Would please write here what actually are those mysterious "adapters" == what is on that list. That might help solving this case

C:\Symbian\8.0a\S60_2nd_FP2_CW\Epoc32\tools

u can find a file named "uidcrc.exe" in this dir, simply copy it to py2sis directory. it will work for sure. I had the same problem.

I'm having this problem too. I checked the "software components will be installed: Symbian SDKs for Series 60 EPOCROOT Folder C:\Symbian\8.0a\S60_2nd_FP2" - it is not listed - NOW HOW DO I FIX THAT! Note that I have installed the referenced Symbian SDK!
