LuPo, there's no escape from reading the SDK documentation and among all the Platform Security chapter could be seen as a priority.

First step should be looking into SDK help for particular function to find out related capabilities. Even if you do not find which capabilities are needed then look forward for Epocwind.out approach.

Also Carbide.c++ 1.3 has inbuilt capability scanner which may prove to be useful to you.
