comparison between audio files

Hi

Suppose I recorded audio file (the letter "a") and i am looking for a match from pre-recorded audio files (the letters "a", "b" and "c" - in 3 seperate audio files).

Is there a SW in J2ME that does this comparison and gives the best estimation for a match ??

None I know of.

Note that although this comparison sounds easy when you say it, implementing is not as easy. There so many different variables in speech (pitch, speed, intonation, different styles of pronunciation) that simple file comparison will likely create a lot of wrong identifications. (also background noise, quiet time in the beginning or end of either recording will likely create problems)...
