    You should better start with "S60 3rd GUI Application". By selecting this template, it will generate a simple HelloWorld GUI application. Then you just need to build it. It is given in the Screencast suggested by skumar_rao. Please visit the suggested link.

    All the best.

    Ok i think i have most of it installed right after following about 50 guides...

    but im still missing something and cant figure out what i need to install

    This is using cmd on there hello world example, it dosnt like me including stdio.h which is a problem...

    pls don't tell me to read another guide >< iv read a million and almost none of them work including http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.n..._1_en.exe.html which dosnt get past the first slide on either of my desktops or laptop, downloaded twice.

    Code:
    C:\Symbian\Carbide\workspace\example\group>abld makefile all
      make -r  -f "\Symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1\EPOC32\BUILD\Symbian\Carbide\workspace\e
    xample\group\WINSCW.make" MAKEFILE VERBOSE=-s
    perl -S makmake.pl  -D \Symbian\Carbide\workspace\example\group\EXAMPLE WINSCW

    MMPFILE "\Symbian\Carbide\workspace\example\group\EXAMPLE.MMP"
    WARNING: \Symbian\Carbide\workspace\example\group\EXAMPLE.MMP(29) : SYSTEMINCLUD
    E path "\Symbian\9.2\S60_3rd_FP1\EPOC32\include\stdapis\" not found
    Really keen to get coding >< any help is greatly appreciated!

    I hope you have everything on the same drive. Carbide.c++, SDK, etc...

    And to run from command prompt, you have to install "Configure environment for WINSCW command prompt". You will find it in
    Start-> Programms-> Carbide.c++ ->
