is it possible to have radio buttons inside the menu? if yes, can anyone tell me how to add it in. thanks

Yes it is:
aMenuPane->SetItemButtonState(EMycmd, EEikMenuItemSymbolOn);

Please read the Communicator SDK help 'Setting the state of check boxes and radio buttons' chapter for more information.

Radio buttons inside the menu is not supported on Series 60. Please use settings lists and radio button setting page instead.
