Flash Lite orientation after video playback

Hi

I'm developing a Flash Lite 3 application for use on an N95. The app plays back some FLVs in an embedded Video object, which is sized at 160x120 and placed in roughly the centre of the screen.

On a device with firmware v20.0.015 and FL3 developer edition this plays without issue, but on one with v20.2.011 (and built-in FL3) installed the orientation flips to landscape when the video starts and then remains there even when browsing the rest of the app. I've tried to manually set it back with _x, _y and _rotation, but nothing happens.

So, has anybody seen this behaviour before? And if so any idea what causes it and how it can be prevented?

OK, I've now seen that this has been discussed at length in http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=124068 - can anybody confirm whether a fix has been made public yet please? Or if a workaround is available?

Thanks for the info. So is this definitely an FL issue? One of the posts on the other thread implied that the bug in the standalone player was as a result of the Nokia implementation.

Hey,

The problem is as result of a porting error, and it was resolved in later firmware for some devices. I recommend using the FL3.1 Distributable Player, which allows you to distribute the latest version of Flash Lite to devices over the air. This will ensure that you can work around these issues and the different versions of firmware and FL2/FL3 that ship on S60 3rd Edition devices.
