Landscape Video

Hi!

I have to develope a video application for a project at University. So i have two questions:

- Is there any chance to rotate a video for 90° to get a landscape orientation in J2Me?

- Whats the best to simulate streaming for mobiles which do not support rtsp?

- Video rotation is not currently possible on Nokia devices.

- One "simpler" option would be to split up your video file in more pieces and then use 2 Players to play a piece while another (the next one) is downloading (so, using standard HTTP). Searching around you would find this solution already implemented somewhere.
Another solution could be (but never tried by myself) to build your own DataSource: of course it's more complex than the first option, but could bring better results.

Wouldn't it a good idea to rotate the video on the server before transmitting? Or is this against the 3gp specification if the orientation changes?

Searching around you would find this solution already implemented somewhere

Rotating the video on your server could effectively be a good workaround (even if it has its limitations).
