N82 - flashlite 1.1, 2.0.. loadvars problems, help..

I've download this and copy the swf file (flashlite 1.1) to 4 diferent types of Nokia :

1. N73 -> work fine, thx.
2. E51 -> work fine as it should.
3. N6120c -> work like a charm,
4. N82 -> not working, help me I m dying looking to found out the problems !

is there something wrong with my N82 and flashlite for network scripting (loadvars, etc) ?,

there are 2 access point in my N82:
- 3G (HSPDA) connection and
- Wifi/WLAN,

both working fine to open any website (browsing).

*N82 device software: V 20.0.0.062

I also try fL2.0 there and same problems

-is N82 need to upgrade?
-is it something with my GSM operator ?

anyone have solutions, thanks in advance.

Hi,

Can you confirm that you are testing this with Flash Lite 3.0 on the N82?

If so then you should go to the fla Publish Settings and enable "Network access only" instead of "local files only".

the N82 with firmware V 20.0.0.062 has Flash Lite 3, check here
which means that you are facing the security issue.

Here the quick solution:

1. create a folder under the Flash Lite player ("Others") called "Trusted"
2. put your swf there and try it

the N82 is a black edition, it says suport flashlite 3
thanks for reply but i want to create flashlite an apllication that will run on more nokia devices, and peoples no need to upgrade the player since this aplication only an animated online shoutbox for me and my friends.

This is security issue ! I try to rename the directory where i put the swf, from other/Drag1 into other/Trusted

and this flashlite work nicely..

*so then i've to put all the flashlite aplication that need network connection in this "Trusted" directory ??

is there a configuration or setting on N82 so i can put it anywhere on my N82?

"Black indicates, MUZIK EDITION, rite?"
so, is it a MUZIC EDITION? or a Updated firmware?

Hi am1rnet,

Good to hear this works. Creating a trusted folder in this case is not the best solution however.

Flash has a sandbox model where you place content in networking or local sandboxes, local is the default. If you want to do networking with Flash Lite 3.0 you should ALWAYS enable the networking sandbox using the publish settings. Importantly the SWF would function as normal on earlier versions of the player too.

Finally, can we please not call this the 'security issue'. Flash was designed to work like this and has been this way for about three years on the desktop.

Maybe we should call it the "security feature" :-)

Colour is the only difference. Same hardware. Same firmware. Black does not indicate "music edition" or any "edition" except "black" (as opposed to the original silver coloured N82).
