send/receive delivery report & read read reports with java library

Are there any methods in the nokia library that assist in sending and receiving reports,
or do i need to create the reports from scratch ??

Hi,

Terminating application example can receive delivery reports and you can send them using EAIF emulator.

There's also a method called "encodeMessage" in MMEncoder class which can encode different message types, including delivery reports.

I can't find the code in TerminatingApp that sends delivery report
but I found that you can set message type = delivery_ind

so do i just send a empty message?

TerminatingApp example does not send anything. It's an appication for receiving MMS messages. It can receive delivery report, ie m-delivery.ind -message.

A MMS delivery report sending is handeled by MMSC, so you don't have to worry about it in your application. With EAIF emulator you can send delivery reports to your application.
