read model no from model.txt

Hi,
"Z:\\resource\\versions\\model.txt" --here in this path model nname is stored in s60 3rd fp1.
while i am reading model name from from this specific path . and showing in information note.at that time it is displaying me model number as well as boxes .
can any buddy help me out how to read only model num without boxes.

can u put the code you r using to read the file .. which API you r using?

The boxes you are getting is nothing but the garbaged text.Check your variable value which you have model text.

i have already retrieved all phone info by using CTelephony class.
its easy to get model number by reading only model.txt file, thats why i am trying.
