    Hi,

I want to add my application in list of active standby apps. I mean to say that how we can shortcut 1 of active standby apps to point to our application programatically.

Is there any way to do so?

If yes please provide me appropriate pointer.

Appropriate pointer: Wiki tab above, suggested search key: shortcut.

You will need to raise a partnering API request via the estore and provide appropriate justification for the request.

Note that this API is withdrawn in FP2.

Yep, you could add shortcuts to the buttons with API found from the API plug-in, but for the icons, you would need to partner the API.

For FP2 there is a new API, which you could try partnering through the normal process, it is quite much different, but offers quite much more functionality.

    Thanks for your help.

With the help of wiki forum i am able to set the soft key and left key to point to my application. But my aim is to add my application in the list of stand by applications(usually there are 6 applications being shown on standby screen, i want to replace any one of them wtih my application) displayed at the active standby screen.

    How can i acheve so.

    Regards

And was it already mentioned twice that, that it would require you to open a API partnering case...?

for the icon short cuts, you would need to open a API partnering request. Also the API has changed for FP2, so you would need to partner separate API for FP2 devices.

    Hi symbianyucca
Thanks for your reply.I just need to confirm that do i need to send the API partnering request separately for fp1 and fp2 devices?
or is it ok if i send request for fp2 devices only.
    Thank you,
    Cheers...

You need on request. for FP2 devices and for the MR + FP1 devices, so that 2 in total

The FP2 API will NOT work on PRE FP2 devices, so if you are ONLY intending this to run on FP2 and later devices, its ok, otherwise it will NOT run as the dll's are not there.

And please remember that each partnering is done for single use case, and single platform, so you can not ask for MR + FP1 in API partnering. In this case I would assume that MR works with FP1 as well, but there are no compatibility guarantees given in API partnering.

Thread above mentions "For FP2 there is a new API,". What is the name of this API? (I will need to specify this when making a partner request. Thanks.
