A .swf file wont work..

I have a Symbian 60 3rd edition phone.
And i found a great flash lite screensaver at MOSH.
Its a .swf file that change after the time of the day, time of the year and it has extremely good graphics.
The size is at 440kb.
But i cant use it as a screensaver.
The phone is updated.
Nokia PC suite notices me about the updates.
When i try to use it, the date and time screensaver appears instead.
Is it something wrong with the file?
Its located at the phone, so nothing about the memory card.

Which Nokia 3rd Edition phone are you using? Not all Nokia devices support Flash Lite content in screensaver mode. Or it could also be an issue of version incompatibility.

Its a Nokia 5700,
They are supposed to use .swf as screensaver!
And, i have Flash Lite 2.0.

I dont think its Flash Lite 2.1.
It is a version of it in Flash Lite 1.1 too, didnt work.

Hi,

This wallpaper is Sony Ericsson property and is designed to work on their platform. It is written in Flash Lite 1.1 for the S500i, you can see the review on my blog.

As this was designed as a wallpaper (not screensaver) it is trying to make calls to the device which aren't supported on Nokia devices in this mode.

I will of course ask for it to be removed from MOSH. Update: The content is now removed for copyright violation.

At MOSH you can even find FIFA for phones..
I just love it so much

Find out who developed it in the first place, and ask them to make a new version for Nokia.

Yes, Sony Ericsson employs many people, but making a Flash Lite screensaver like that could easily be a one-person job. Of course, it could also two ( one as a developer and one as a graphics designer ), or three ( developer, designer, tester ). I doubt that more than that were involved. In other words, one person can do it.

And in any case, the person or persons that did are not likely here on Nokia's discussion boards, so either you learn to develop screensavers yourself, learn to live without that particular screensaver on your Nokia phone, or contact Sony Ericsson and ask them for help in tracking down the developer ( who may have been a freelancer or a company they contracted to do it, in which case it is, of course, possible that the developer visits this site, too ).

Nokia5700, I know who created the wallpaper but even if I told you they can't give it to you because it's Sony Ericsson property.

It was created not just as a wallpaper but as an integrated theme for the device.. check it out on youtube.

About the things you said on how to make it,
i am a Visual Basic developer, and an graphics artist..
And tester is an easy job.
If the name of the screensaver is "Everchanging", i might find the company.
I will try to find it before giving up and make my own.
