Cant Install Carbide.c++ or SDK

Hello,

i downloaded Carbide.c++ V1.3 and S60-SDK-200634-3.1-Cpp-f.1090b and tried to install them on my Windows XP SP2.

Carbide-Installer aborts with an empty Error-Message.

The SDK aborts with an Error Message with some Info on my System (I can paste that here if it helps).

Anyone experienced those Installation-Problems, and know how to fix em?

Ideally it should not abort like this.
Please post those errors so that someone can find something from it.

you should have Admin access to install Carbide.c++ and SDK.

Thanks for the Replies, i am in the Administrators-Group at Windows XP, so that shouldnt be the Problem.

Since most of the developers are using that SDK and Carbide.c++ without any such problems it must be that the problems is due to some rare configuration issue on your machine and this it would be rather impossible for as to reproduce.

You should try to Google around for "installshield error -5001" and hopefully you will find other application installs failing in similar conditions and also some solution for the problem.

I managed to get the Installation working, the Error was a bad environment-variable (TEMP pointed to a CD drive O_o)
